Brian Shaughnessy, Esq.
Brian has historically maintained a general practice focused on litigation and real estate. His present areas of focus are landlord-tenant law, real estate, personal injury, workers compensation, and estate planning. Brian is considered one of the leading experts in landlord tenant law in New Hampshire and regularly teaches Federal Fair Housing and eviction seminars for lawyers, housing authorities, property managers, and private landlords. He has argued multiple cases to the New Hampshire Supreme Court, has conducted dozens of jury and bench trials in Superior Court, thousands of bench trials in the Circuit Courts throughout the state, and has represented clients in Federal Court, including arguing cases to the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Brian also has extensive experience arguing cases in administrative forums such as the Department of Labor, NH Wage and Hour, NH Department of Motor Vehicles, Lead Paint investigations by the EPA, and Fair Housing Act complaints filed with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or NH Human Rights Commission.
Brian's hobbies include basketball, skiing, hiking, extensive travel, and reading books on any beach in the world.
